Liturgical Advice in the light of the COVID-19 Pandemic
The Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales, having consulted the Ordinaries of the Dioceses, has agreed that the cessation of public liturgies should begin from Friday evening 20th March 2020. Because of the situation the Church finds herself in, the obligation for the faithful to attend Holy Mass on a Sunday or Holy day of Obligation is removed, until further notice.
Re-opening of the Church; Volunteers Needed
The doors of our church have been closed since 23rd March 2020. All of us share a deep desire to re-open our churches as soon as the Government allows us to do so. Re-opening must, of course, happen in a safe manner, and it is likely to take place in stages.

Spiritual Communion
During this time we are encouraged to make a Spiritual Communion when we desire to be in union with Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. This can be done whilst you watch a live stream of Mass being offered.
Online Mass
Follow the link below to find parishes in the Diocese which live stream their Masses, so you can still access a Mass even if not in person.
