St Mary The Mount
Dear Parishioners and Friends of St Mary the Mount Parish Jesus, Mary and Joseph
St Mary’s the Mount is a friendly, thriving, multi-cultural Roman Catholic parish. Our Church is situated on Glebe Street in Walsall, about 5 minutes’ walk from Walsall Town Centre and train station.
The Church was opened in 1827 and is a Grade II listed building. It was the first Catholic Church of a substantial size to be built in the Midlands since the Reformation. As you can see it is a most beautiful Church.
Our Sunday Masses are on Saturday at 5.30 pm, and at 9 am and 11 am on Sunday.
Weekday masses are usually at 10 am or 7 pm.
We have regular opportunities for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and Rosary before Masses. We have a varied liturgical life, with active parish participation in altar serving, reading and Eucharistic Ministry. Our music is provided by a choir with organ and an instrumental group. Both the choir and instrumental group are always looking for new members, so please come along if you love music.
